District Seeks Vacant, Ready-to-Occupy Apartment Buildings

Friday, April 3, 2009
Washington, DC

The District Office of Property Management (OPM) has issued two Solicitations for Offers (SFO) to buy ready-to-occupy residential buildings in the District.

The first SFO is for a 10-30 unit vacant Metro-accessible apartment building in the District with ground-floor retail.   The building should have primarily two- and three-bedroom units, with some one-bedroom units acceptable.  One parking space for every two units is preferred. The deadline for submissions is 12 pm, May 1, 2009.  Please refer to Solicitation No. OPM-SFO-IN-2009-9.

The second SFO is for buildings with 20-30 single room occupancy units in Ward 1, including dormitory-style housing with shared bathrooms, single room units with bath and units with hotel-style layouts.  Parking is preferred but not required.  The deadline for submissions is also 12 pm, May 1, 2009.  Please refer to Solicitation No. OPM-SFO-IN-2009-10.

As described in both SFOs, OPM prefers buildings that are fully renovated, vacant, ready-to-occupy and ADA accessible.

Complted forms, including DC OPM Form S-104*, and with clear reference to the specific SFO being responded to, are to be directed to: Office of Property Management, Government of the District of Columbia, ATTN: Regina Payton, 2000 14th Street, NW, 8th floor, Washington, DC 20009.  Submissions can be sent, by email, fax or US Mail, to Ms. Regina Payton,  (202) 727-9877/fax.

Interested parties are urged to read the full SFOs at opm.dc.gov, under Business Opportunities with OPM.
