DHS Director Clarence H. Carter Speaks at the 4th Annual Stewards of Change Conference

Tuesday, January 20, 2009
New Haven, CT

Department of Human Services (DHS) Director Clarence H. Carter recently presented at the 4th Annual Stewards of Change Conference at Yale University. This year’s conference focused on Human Service agencies that have already launched or are planning to institute interoperability initiatives. The forum provided participants an opportunity to delve deeply into national trends and discover ways to apply new concepts to their own organizational practices.

Director Carter highlighted a new person centric approach to the delivery of human services. This new approach will create a consumer and family centered system that will connect programs that serve the same populations, leverages community assets and measurably improves outcomes.
