Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 2900 Block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Friday, August 30, 2019, in the 2900 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.

 

At approximately 8:52 pm, the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a knife and threatened the victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

On Friday, August 30, 2019, 57-year-old Tony Cannon, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
