Virginia Williams Family Resource Center Relocates

The Central Point of Intake for Families Experiencing Housing Instability Returns to Rhode Island Avenue

The Virginia Williams Family Resource Center (VWFRC), an integrated service center for families experiencing housing instability, has relocated to its permanent location.   

 Families residing in the District of Columbia who believe that they are at risk of homelessness should go to or call The Virginia Williams Family Resource Center.

Where: 920 Rhode Island Avenue, NE.  The newly renovated location is accessible from the Rhode Island Avenue Metrorail station via the Red Line or the G8 Metro bus.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Services Offered:  Families experiencing housing instability can visit to apply for Homeless Services, Public Benefits, and additional on-site services, including

Homeless Services:  Emergency Rental Assistance, Housing Resources, Temporary Shelter, Community Resources

Public Benefits Applications:  TANF, SNAP, Food Stamps, Employment Assistance, Medicaid, and Childcare Subsidies for families working on their TANF goals

Other Services:  School Registration Assistance, Child Support, Unified Case Planning
