  • Trash and recycling collections will “slide” to the next day for the remainder of both weeks. This applies to both once-a-week and twice-a-week collection neighborhoods.
  • The Fort Totten and Benning Road transfer stations will be closed on December 25, 2018 and January 1, 2019, reopening the following day.
  • Leaf collections will not be made on either holiday.

There will be no parking enforcement on December 25, 2018. There will be Streetcar parking enforcement on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2018, between the hours of 8 am and 2 am, and on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2019, between the hours of 8 am and 10 pm.

Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and “Know Before You Go” for services requiring an in-person visit to a Service Center as customer volume is high before and after a holiday closing.
