Developmental Disabilities Council

The Developmental Disabilities Council (DDC) operates in accordance with the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and the Bill of Rights Act, Public Law 106-402. Each year the Council receives federal funds that are used to advocate for District of Columbia residents with developmental disabilities and their families.

The DDC funds programs and projects in the areas of community education and outreach, including classroom education, employment, and quality assurance. The DDC funds activities that support change to public policies, plans, and practices that prevent and/or reduce discrimination against individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

For information on the Developmental Disabilities Council, please call (202) 671-4490.
